I apologize for missing several days of posting anything here. I’ve been wrapped up in finishing the January issue of The Carriage Journal, and then I keep remembering — too late in the day — that I’ve missed another post.

But, hey, we’re only a week and a half from Christmas, so I’m going to share a few more of the vintage / antique holiday cards and postcards that I’ve been collecting.

Believe it or not, Christmas is just two weeks away … eeek!

As you may’ve read in my post from Friday evening, we had a winter storm on Friday … and we awoke to a bit of ice on Saturday. Then we had more sleet and freezing rain on Sunday. The worst of the ice has now melted; although I’m kind of surprised, as the temperature hasn’t actually climbed above the freezing point.

Here’s a view of one of the Kentucky Horse Park’s “Hall of Champions” residents from this afternoon, bundled up against the cold …
