And here’s the final “preview” video clip for the upcoming World Four-in-Hand Championship. Given the soggy, muddy time we recently had in Windsor, I hope our visit to Germany is a bit drier and sunnier than it looks here!
Two months from today, I’ll be boarding a plane for Germany, on my way to the CAA’s trip to the FEI World Four-in-Hand Championship at Riesenbeck.
Coincidentally, while looking around for something interesting to post on the blog today, I came across three “preview” videos for the upcoming championship, which were all filmed at last year’s Riesenbeck International competition.
I’m going to shamelessly take advantage of the fact that there are three of these, and show you one today, one tomorrow, and one on Thursday. Enjoy!

As a preview of this year’s event (at the Kentucky Horse Park, in Lexington, June 29 to July 1), let’s take a look at a few of last year’s entries. These are shown here in the order they were taken, from Friday and Saturday’s ring classes, warm-up, and car show, to Sunday’s carriage “parade” through the Horse Park.
If you’ll be in or near Lexington at the end of the month, join us for more horses, ponies, beautiful carriages (being driven and on display), and antique cars!
We’re just three weeks away from the start of this year’s CAA Carriage Festival!
There will be a pleasure-driving show, antique carriages and cars on display (and in the running for People’s Choice awards), talks, special tours, and a beautiful carriage parade through the Kentucky Horse Park on Sunday.
Here’s the new Carriage Festival logo, which Elizabeth Ashbridge and I collaborated on:

If you’ll be at or near the Kentucky Horse Park (in Lexington) at the end of the month, we hope you’ll join us in person. If you’d rather watch the Festival unfold here on the blog (and on the CAA’s Facebook page), stay tuned!
