In real life, this year’s fabulous CAA / CWF International Carriage Symposium is over. But here on the blog, we’re still on Friday …

After three lectures in the morning, all symposium attendees enjoyed a delicious luncheon hosted by CWF’s president, Dr. Campbell.

Then, several people braved the on-and-off thunderstorms to enjoy the afternoon open house at the stables.

This year, for the first time that I can recall (perhaps because there were fewer people?), folks were invited to climb in, and on, the various carriages instead of just looking at them. …

Later that afternoon, I happened on to a militia (and cannon!) demonstration on the courthouse square, so I’ll be sharing photos of that soon as well. But now, back in real-life time, I’m heading out to enjoy a nearly-full day of exploring Williamsburg’s Historic Area. Stay tuned for photos!
