On Saturday, A.J. and I visited a couple of antiques stores in nearby Paris, Kentucky. At one of them, I found a small collection of amusing photos with horses (and “horses”) and carriages. The shopkeeper said that the photos were all from a local family, and they appear to date from the early twentieth century.

The first two of the five we purchased show a “tandem” with three people in the carriage, and a big group of people posing for a photo in and around a carriage …
